How do I manage Matter sharing?

Before moving forward, your Thermo Hub and Thermostat must already be set up in the Netatmo app.
The steps differ depending on whether you installed the product using iOS or Android.

iOS

If you set up your products on an Apple smartphone, the Thermostat is automatically added to Apple Home. You can control it from your Apple Home Hub. To enable remote access in the Apple Home app, you must have a Matter Hub in your home.

How to add the product to another Matter ecosystem on iOS

  1. Open the Apple Home app.

  2. Select the correct Home.

  3. Open the Thermo Hub settings.

  4. Tap on “Turn on pairing mode”.

A bottom sheet will appear. You can then choose:

  • Open a Matter ecosystem app already installed on your phone, or

  • Copy the pairing code.

If you choose to copy the code, you must start the pairing process manually in the Matter ecosystem app using the Manual code option. If you try to scan the QR code, it will fail.

Android

If you set up your product on an Android device, it is not automatically added to Google Home.

How to add the product to another Matter ecosystem on Android

  1. Open your Android Settings.

  2. Search for Matter using the search bar.

  3. Open the Matter menu.

  4. Tap My device at the top right of the screen.

  5. Select your Thermo Hub from the list.

  6. Tap Link apps and services.

A bottom sheet will appear. You can then:

  • Open any Matter ecosystem app installed on your phone, or

  • Choose to copy the code.

If you copy the code, you must start the setup manually in the Matter ecosystem app using the Manual code option.
If you use the QR code scanning option, it will fail.

Important Notes

  • You do not need to press the button on the Thermo Hub.

  • You do not need to re-scan the QR code.
