The camera stopped recording to HSV and sending notifications from HomeKit after updating to iOS 18. I tried resetting and adding again, it didn't help. Anyone else having the same problem?
We really appreciate your patience on this matter.
I confirm that a new firmware version is being currently deployed to fix this issue.
The update process is automated, requiring no action from you. We ensure all products have the latest features by gradually pushing firmware updates to eligible active devices over several weeks.

Yes I have the same problem on my Smart Indoor Camera and one of my 2 Smart Outdoor Cameras is affected (oddly the other works fine). I have tried numerous reboots of the cameras, Wi-Fi mesh and modem as well as changing settings in the cameras but nothing seems to restore HSV recording/notifications. I'm unsure if the IOS 18 upgrade is the cause or just a coincidence.

Yep, same here. I’m pretty sure that it’s homekit issue, as others have been experiencing same with different brand cameras, but most of them got them working after deleting and re-adding.

Ok so I might have a solution or it might just be a coincidence: I was trying to figure our why one of my Netatmo cameras works fine with HKSV and rest don't - it occurred to me that the working camera is on an electric circuit that was powered down for most of Saturday afternoon while I was doing some work (adding an Aqara smart relay - good device BTW) and Homekit notifications/recording started working again after the circuit was powered back up. Could it be that the usual rebooting via the app or switching off/on again after a few minutes isn't enough? To test this I powered off my Netatmo indoor camera when I went to bed last night and left it turned off all night; I switched it back on this morning and the Homekit notifications/recording are working fine so far today - the activity in the Home app perfectly match the Netatmo app. I need to test this on my other outdoor camera but didn't want to leave it powered off while I'm not at home, will do it this evening.
TL:DR - Basically try leaving your camera powered completely off for a prolonged period and see if Homekit comes back to life.

Can confirm that my two outdoor cameras also no longer record to HKSV since updating all my Apple stuff. Have tried restarting them both, and restarting the AppleTV, but no luck so far. Will try cycling power at some point.

I’m actually getting bored of this happening with Netatmo. Surely they have software developers testing these things. iOS 18 has been open to developers for nearly a year! Every time there’s a change of software update it feels like there’s a battle to try and troubleshoot these outdoor cameras. My HomeKit secure video stop recording straight after iOS 18. This is not an Apple problem, it Netatmos again. Oddly enough, I had an email from them requesting feedback on their company. I didn’t hold back. Hopefully we won’t be waiting until next year for HKSV to start working again.

Power re-cycling,camera reset, router restart, access point restart. Nothing helps my camera. Yeah, same issue. Yeah, after every update, there are some issues. Exceptionally, there are no problems with the netatmo doorbell this time.

Alas the prolonged powering off of my second outdoor camera made no difference at all, I guess it must’ve just been coincidental with my indoor and other outdoor cameras.

Just to confirm HK event detection and HKSV recordings stopped working after iOS/tvOS 18.0 update on my 4 camera setup too. Removing/re-adding cameras, rebootings, powering-off/on the cameras and network infrastructure may restore the functionality temporarily (2 times in a week of fiddling, 2 out of 4 cameras - always one at a time - seemed to work fine for a while). At the same time, the connection to the native Security app seems less stable than before, albeit still much more stable than the one to the HK. It even might be that the cameras record to HomeKit only when disconnected from Security app. Interestingly my PoE cameras connected to HK via scrypted work fine. Pretty frustrated by the brand now as this is not an isolated lapse.

On the whole I've been pretty happy with my Outdoor Cameras, but there are too many problems like this one. I find HKSV useful as it (normally) continues to work while Netatmo's servers are (quite frequently) down. I'm wondering whether the subscription-less cloud-reliant model does not really incentivise continued focused development and maintenance of functionality - they're relying on future purchases for ongoing revenue, but unfortunately the lack of new products and poor reliability will most likely make me look elsewhere.

Hello I have the same problem.. I was satisfied with the Netatmo camera until the release of IOS18, since that moment uploading camera recordings to iCloud does not work and therefore does not have a retrospective overview of the recordings. I consulted Apple about the issue and was told that the fault may be on your end. I can ask when the new firmware of the camera will be released or where and how I can solve the problem with uploading to idloud, if you have reported this problem and it is being solved. I would also like to add that the online image works without any problems. Thank you

Got mine working after I kept my camera unpowered overnight.
Also deleted the active zone, but created it again after I noticed that the camera works.

Spoke to Apple Support: They just adivse to reboot or to reintegrate the camera. Otherwise there isn't much they can do, as according to them they are aware that Netatmp device are currently not fully iOS 18 compatible.

The same problem. After update Apple TV to ios18, Netatmo presence stop recording events in HomeKit. Reboot all network and Apple TV , remove and add again de câmera and not work. Too much expensive device for many problems. :(

I have the same problem with HKSV not recording after iOS 18 update. I have 4 Netatmo outdoor cameras and tried rebooting, restarting servers, changing home hub, etc but not joy. I have other brand cameras and doorbell that continue to record with no issue after iOS update which seems to show is a Netatmo problem.

Same here. Netatmo Presence has stopped recording motion events in Apple Home once I updated to iOS 18, tvOS 18, audioOS 18, macOS 15. HomeKit Secure video not recording. Live stream works.

Maybe someone from Netatmo Support would like to take a remote look at my setup as an example of two outdoor cameras on the same network where HomeKit was fixed with a long power-down on one of them and nothing seems to fix the other? Feel free to DM me if you’re interested Netatmo Support.

Same issue - in HomeKit no more recording. I noticed that if I enable notifications to "all" (instead of differentiating between people, car, etc.), then the notifications come (without recording).
Before reading about the troubles with iOS18, I tried removing the cams from my setup (both in HomeKit and security app), now re-installing them is no longer possible (I even lost complete control - as in: the camera no longer responded to reset QR code). I hope a solution becomes soon available :/

We purchased a product with declared support for uploading to iClouc, which was decisive for the purchase decision. I think Netatmo should urgently fix this functionality.

It seems that you have little experience with them so far 😂

Just to report that both of my two working cameras (one indoor, one outdoor) stopped HKSV recording & notifications today at 12:10, so that’s all three of mine broken now. I haven’t tried rebooting or anything else yet.

It's been about a week since the Netatmo Presence recorded any HKSV footage. Live stream works, but no motion events have been captured. Netatmo, do you have a response?

Since Sunday one of my cameras, with no intervention from me, has started recording again with HKSV. The other camera has been working with HKSV since a reset on Monday evening (although this camera is also failing in other ways, the subject of a current support ticket). Not sure if something has changed, but there have been no updates on the app, camera or Apple devices that I'm aware of, unless it's something to do with Apple's iCloud servers?

@riskymoth what firmware are you using? I'm on 3.20.0. No HKSV here after multiple reboots of our HomeKit hubs and Netatmo Presence.
