This thing happens to me whenever I want to log into the site and it takes forever.
Have you tried to clear your cache and delete the cookies ? Does it happen on a different browser as well?

Having the very same issue trying to download videos on both my phone and via the web app and they are download a pathetic 20kb/s on my gigabit connection. Which means each video which is about 100mb is taking over an hour to download each.
