My Second Outdoor Module Has stopped Working

This is the second outdoor module I’ve had to purchase. The first one which failed was out of warranty and I bought a second one. Now the second one has failed and no longer shows temperature, and only shows relative humid and pressure. The outdoor weather station is on my porch outside of the elements ; both the previous element which died and the new non-functioning one. Additionally; to have to come to get support in this roundabout way is extremely frustrating.

    I have the same problem. After battery of my rain transmitter had to be changed, all sensors had to be newly connected to the main unit.
    It takes me days. First rain transmitter, two days later recognized after many tries also wind transmitter. But outdoor transmitter temp/humidity not until 2-3 weeks. This happened to many other customer too.
    I asked me, is the reason the customer and his equipment itself or is it coming from Netatmo???

    The first outdoor module that came with the station lasted me 10 years,the second 3 years and 4 months….bad Netatmo….I bought another one and if it doesn’t last me another long,bye-bye,I’ll change stations

    The internet is full of similar problems with the Netatmo outdoor module. Just search ;-). Something is wrong because there is a connection. I have already indicated that I have the impression that Netatmo does not find the "failure" a problem and directs you to a new purchase. I still have the old one but in the meantime I have also switched to another system that I am going to expand. Too bad because I thought it was a nice system.

    Thank you all. I’m going to try and unpair and re-pair the outdoor module (of note one of my indoor modules also failed - replacement batteries, and nada, zip, nothing)

    This was posted 2 months ago and still no response from Netatmo. This is really horrible customer service.

    My outdoor unit has failed - do they still sell replacement outdoor units or am I forced to buy the whole thing again? If the latter I think I'll be looking at other products.

    @atmurray well, you could try at Netatmo. But I think Netatmo has left the weather station products and has it's focus on other products. Don't expect to much support ;-). 
    But hey, let us know if Netatmo trusts it's weather products and helps customers to solve the problems. In the mean time I bought 2 Awair devices and planning to replace my other Netatmo devices because Netatmo has no service.

    Firstly. This is where O was originally pointed to find support. The support function on the website is not clear.

    Secondly, the post you point to that says it has already been addressed, essentially just points to where we can buy another module and doesn’t address the fundamental question on why the outdoor modules seem to be unreliable?

    Thirdly, I reached out eventually to your Facebook group which eventually told me the same thing “Here, you can buy yet another module here”.

    I can get to that by just making up my mind to buy another module, which I’m not going to do until and if I have some sense that Natatmo understand why their modules seem to be failing within less than a year.

    If this is not a help-forum, rename it to "where customers questions are left to die".. You are selling TaaS (Temperature as a Service) and we would expect someone to have a browse of latest posts every now and then.. 

    If this is just a post morten overview of customers left to die, fill it with useful information on how to fix our equipment..  reddit was my saviour.. -put a link to Reddit's forums and help us finding salvation to our problems.. don't just ignore us and ask for more money!

    Claiming that we "ignore" users simply because you have chosen not to use the appropriate support channels is incorrect. Assistance is readily available—provided you actually look in the right place 😉

    Maybe some constructive feedback is to make it more clear on how to submit tickets..  as both me and many others have experienced, we have assumed this forum was the place to do that.. As we have experienced that this is not the case, a good learning could be to ensure that other customers easily understand that they need to submit tickets and not post here in the forum. 

    for me this was not very clear (but I did not go into all the links on your webpage so aparently I missed that information)

    It is simple: Direct support as you mention it, directs me to buy new device.That's no support. And it is not the way to help customers who bought a product. And of course, you are not to blame. And personaly I do not expect Netatmo to change this way of working by mentioning it here. But at least I hope other customers maybe can help. And maybe I can protect potential buyers from these problems. Don't buy Netatmo.
