Serial number (S/N)
The serial number can be found on the back of its packaging and on the back of the Smart Smoke Alarm. To do so, remove the Smart Smoke Alarm from its mount by turning it counterclockwise. The serial number is to the right of the top battery, after the text field 'SN= ', and appears as 'gXXXXXX'. X being either a figure or a letter.
MAC address
The MAC address can be useful to know to allow the connection to be established on secured Wi-Fi networks.
If your Smart Smoke Alarm is already paired to your account, its MAC address can be found in the settings menu: Settings > Manage my Home > [device's room] > [device's name] > Serial number
If the device is not connected yet, the MAC address can be deduced from the serial number. Simply replace the letter ‘g’ in the serial number with ‘70:ee:50’ and complete it with the final six characters of the serial number. For example, if the serial number is g123456, the MAC address is 70:ee:50:12:34:56.
