For safety reasons, the smoke sensor is designed to be highly sensitive. In some situations, this may occasionally lead to an unexpected alarm.
To help prevent unwanted alarms, the Smart Smoke Alarm should not be installed:
near an electronic ballast, a low-voltage transformer, an energy-saving light bulb, or a fluorescent tube (minimum distance: 50 cm),
near an air vent,
in a room that is too dusty,
less than 6 meters away from a fireplace or wood-burning stove,
in a room where cooking smoke or steam may trigger the alarm,
in a room where condensation or high humidity may occur.
If the alarm only went off once unexpectedly, the sensor may have been temporarily disturbed by dust or particles in the air.
In this case, we recommend cleaning the detection chamber by blowing dry air through the vents on the sides of the product.
