Potential issues:

- Unscrew the security screw from the edge of your door.
- Insert your key into the original cylinder.
- Turn your key a few degrees clockwise from its original insertion position.
-
- Pull the cylinder out of the door.
- If you still cannot remove the cylinder, remove your door’s indoor trim that could be preventing the removal of the cylinder and try again.
- I can’t get the cylinder of the Netatmo Smart Door Lock to fit in my door.
- Remove the outdoor knob by unscrewing the retaining screw.
- Make sure that the micro-USB cover under the outdoor knob and the cam are aligned with the cylinder body.
- If you are using a cylinder extension, make sure that is correctly fitted and aligned with the cylinder body. To do so, check that the 6 extension pins are correctly inserted into the connector.
- If you still cannot remove the cylinder, remove your door’s indoor trim that could be preventing the removal of the cylinder and try again.
- If your door is fitted with an external security device:
- Make sure it is compatible: euro cylinder design.
- If it is not, contact a professional. You will need to replace this external security device to install the Netatmo Smart Door Lock.
- If the M5 fixing screw provided in the pack is not compatible (wrong length, for example), reuse your original screw. Once the Netatmo cylinder has been fitted to the door, make sure that the USB port cover on the underside of the outside handle is still accessible.
- I have a European cylinder with a toothed wheel.
- This type of cylinder cannot be replaced by a cylinder with a cam like the Netatmo Smart Door Lock. The Netatmo Smart Door Lock is not compatible with this setup. Please contact a professional.
