I can't setup the Indoor Camera Advance, what should I do?

Notes

  • The Indoor Camera Advance does not work when plugged directly into a USB port.
  • Some Wi-Fi networks are not compatible with Netatmo cameras:
    • Enterprise and public networks
    • Networks using connection portals
    • Internet Service providers using Carrier-grade NAT (NAT444)
    • Some networks using wireless repeaters
    • WEP-secured access points
  • Check that your smartphone is correctly connected to a valid network before starting a setup.

Steps

Issues you experience during the setup of your Indoor Camera Advance may be due to several reasons. In this article, we will propose some easy steps to troubleshoot your problem:

  • If you tried to set up your camera on 5GHz access point and failed, try the same process using a 2,4GHZ access point. Once set up, the camera will receive an update in the next hour, after which you can switch to your 5GHZ access point again.
  • Reboot your router and your smartphone.
  • Reboot your Indoor Camera Advance (unplug and replug). A green LED should turn on for a few seconds.
    • If the LED doesn’t turn on there may be an issue with the power adapter. Try another one with the following specifications: micro USB, 2A, 5V.
    • If the green LED stays on forever, try pressing the button at the back of the camera using a paper clip (or a small pin).

If the problem persists, follow our Advanced network troubleshooting guide.
