Smart Privacy profiles are profiles that will trigger Smart Privacy. When recognized by the camera, these profiles will trigger the closing the shutter of the camera. f the user corresponding to the profile also enables geofencing on its phone, the Smart Privacy will also trigger when leaving home, but this time, re-opening the shutter of the camera. This allows you to securize your home while also protecting your privacy. Please see What is Smart Privacy and how does it work? for more information on the feature.
To configure your Smart Privacy profiles, follow these steps:
- Open your Home + Security app
- Go to Settings
- Go to Alert and recording settings
- Go to Edit profiles
- Go to the profile you want to be identified as a Smart Privacy profile, and enable the setting Smart Privacy profile via the toggle button
You can repeat these steps for as much profiles as you wish.
If you do not wish to enable localisation on your phone, the shutter of the camera will open after 3 hours. If you wish to change this timer, you can do so by following these steps:
- Open your Home + Security app
- Go to Settings > Alert and recording settings > Edit profiles
- Adjust the timer at the top of the page
Note: We recommand each of the home members to enable the geolocation setting above the Smart Privacy Profile setting to completely enjoy the feature.
Once your Smart Privacy profiles set, Smart Privacy profiles will appear with a closed-eye icon in the Edit profiles settings of the Alert and recording settings.
