My Netatmo mobile app shows an error "MaxUsageReached", why?

The “MaxUsageReached” error in the Netatmo mobile app appears when the maximum number of requests allowed for your account has been reached.

Under normal use, the Netatmo app should not reach this limit.

This can happen if:

  • Your account sends too many requests to Netatmo servers in a short time.
  • You use a third-party integration (for example, a home automation app like HomeAssistant or Fibaro) that polls the Netatmo API too frequently.

To fix the issue:

  • Wait a few minutes before trying again, the limit resets automatically after a certain period.
  • Close third-party apps connected to Netatmo, reduce their request frequency, and test again using the official app.
  • If the issue persists, log out and back into your Netatmo account.

As stated in our Developer Guidelines, the maximum number of requests per account is 50 requests / 10 seconds or 500 requests per hour.
