For security reasons, home members do not by default get control of the Smart Door Lock from the Home + Security app when they are added. They must request it from another member who already has control.

Sharing control – User with control

1. If you haven’t already done so, start by inviting the person you want to share control with to join your Home + Security home where the Smart Door Lock and Keys are installed.
   1. Open the Home + Security app.
   2. Go to Settings.
   3. Select User Management, then Home Users, and finally Invite a User.
2. Once the new member is added to the Home + Security home, share control of the Smart Door Lock with them. To do so, make sure you meet the following criteria:
   1. 1. You are within Bluetooth range of the product.
      2. You have the Property Card.
      3. You are with the new home member.
   2. Then follow these steps:
      1. Open the Home + Security app.
      2. Go to Settings.
      3. Select User Management, then Share Control.
      4. Lastly, follow the instructions shown in your app and the new home member’s app to complete the process.

Get control – User without control

1. If you haven’t already done so, join the Home + Security home where the Netatmo Smart Door Lock and Keys are installed using the invite sent by the home member. (see step 1 of the “Sharing control” section above).
2. Once you’ve been added to the Home + Security home, stand close to the Smart Door Lock (within Bluetooth range of the product, i.e., 5 metres maximum).
3. You must be with a home member who already has control of the Smart Door Lock and who has the product’s Property Card.
4. Tap the “Get control” button shown on the main menu of the Smart Door Lock in your Home + Security app, then follow the steps shown in your app and the other home member’s app.
