The Security Code can only be used once.
When you turn monitoring off, the app asks you to create a Security Code. This code will be required to turn monitoring back on.
Once monitoring is turned back on, the code is deleted automatically. The next time you turn monitoring off, you will be asked to create a new Security Code. You can enter the same code as before or choose a different one.
If you want to remove the Security Code completely, you can simply reinstall the camera by going in "Install new products" and follow the process. This will not cause any data loss.
If the issue persists, you will need to reset the camera and then install it again from scratch.
To remove the camera from the app:
Tap the gear icon on the main screen of the app.
Select Manage my Home.
Select your camera.
Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
Select Remove.
Tap Delete.
Please note: this operation will permanently erase the data stored on your camera.
If your camera was configured with HomeKit, please also follow these steps:
Turn the camera upside down.
Remove the SD card and wait for the red LED to flash.
Wait 10 seconds, then reinsert the SD card.
The LED will flash faster before turning off. Wait for the LED to turn green again, then turn the camera back over.
Once this is done, make sure to remove the camera from the Apple Home app.
You can then install the camera again from the Security app by selecting Install new products.
