I do not receive notifications on my smartphone.

Note that you need to be logged in the Home + Security app to receive notifications.

First, check on the Home + Security app that the events you expect to be notified about appear in the timeline. If they don't appear, go to the Home + Security app > Settings> Change security settings > [product's category], and choose the events you want to record and which ones you want to be notified about.

If you have a Smart Outdoor Camera, check the time chosen for being notified at the bottom of the screen. In order to be notified all day enter “from 00:00 to 23:59”. Please check that the Alert Zones cover the right area. Any event outside of the Alert Zone will be ignored.

If the events appear in the timeline but you still do not receive the notifications, please check that you have authorized them in your smartphone:

  • If you are using an iOS device, learn more here.
  • If you have an Android device, go to the Home + Security app > Settings > Notifications and select "Show Notifications".

Note: Some Android manufacturers limit the functionalities of apps put in background in order to optimize battery life. This could block you from receiving notifications from the Home + Security app.

Click on your phone manufacturer and follow the procedure to remove the Android limitation:

Finally, please note that a bad Wi-Fi signal might also cause issues with notifications.
