To receive notifications, you must:
- Use Home + Security 2.5.0.2 or above
- Use Android 7 or above
- Be logged in your account
To check your app version please open the app settings then scroll all the way down.
If you still don't receive notifications:
First, verify on the Home + Security app that the events you expect to be notified about appear in the timeline. If they do not appear, navigate to:
- Home + Security app > Settings > Change security settings > [product category]
Then select the events you want to record and be notified about.
For Smart Outdoor Camera users, check the notification schedule at the bottom of the screen.
To receive notifications throughout the day, set the time range to "00:00 to 23:59". Ensure that the Alert Zones cover the appropriate area, as any event outside these zones will be ignored.
If events appear in the timeline but you're still not receiving notifications, ensure that notifications are enabled on your smartphone:
- iOS: Learn more here.
- Android: Go to Home + Security app > Settings > Notifications and select "Show Notifications".
Note: Some Android manufacturers limit app functionality in the background to optimize battery life, which can prevent notifications from reaching you.
Follow the instructions provided by your phone manufacturer to remove these limitations:
Finally, please note that a bad Wi-Fi signal might also cause issues with notifications.
