To ensure that your routines are not interrupted, your favourite IFTTT automations will be integrated into the Home + Security app as well as Apple Home or Google Assistant.
Here’s a list of the most popular IFTTT automations and some alternatives that we can now offer:
- Receive an email when the Netatmo camera detects a problem or when surveillance is deactivated
Our cameras will send notifications to your Home + Security app when a serious issue is detected, such as disconnection or deactivation of the surveillance. This article provides a list of all the existing notifications.
You must set up your phone correctly to make sure you receive these notifications. This is particularly important if you have an Android phone. This subject is covered in detail in this article.
For advanced uses, you can also receive notifications by using our API. For more information, visit our developer portal.
- Receive an alert when a stranger is at your door
In the Home + Security app, you can set up the notifications (snapshots and videos) that you want to receive when a person is detected. You can also choose to receive these notifications based on whether or not a member of your household is at home.
The Outdoor Cameras can also send notifications when a person, animal or movement is detected.
You must set up your phone correctly to make sure you receive these notifications. This is particularly important if you have an Android phone. This subject is covered in detail in this article.
- Receive an alert when smoke is detected
The Home + Security app will send you a notification when your Smoke Alarm detects smoke in your home.
You must set up your phone correctly to make sure you receive these notifications. This is particularly important if you have an Android phone. This subject is covered in detail in this article.
- Create automations with Philips Hue bulbs
These automations are not yet possible with the Home + Security app. However, you can create similar automations in the Apple Home.
For example, you can create a personalised programme for your lights (turn on a particular colour, flash the bulbs for 10 seconds, etc.) when the cameras detect a presence or the smoke alarm is set off.
- Video storage
Your videos are stored on the SD card in your Camera, but they can also be stored on Dropbox or an FTP server. Read this article for more information.
