Eco-Assist is a smart feature of the Netatmo AC Controller, which allows you to optimise the usage of your AC when you leave and return home.
Eco-Assist uses the geolocation parameters on your smartphone to detect when you are getting closer to your home or when you are leaving it. It is deactivated by default.
To ensure that the Eco-Assist feature works in the best way, please remember to:
- Authorise geolocation services for the Home + Control app in your smartphone’s settings
- Check the location of your Home in the Home + Control app (Menu > Manage my home > "..." > Home information > Location > You can modify the location of your home)
- Authorise notifications for the Home + Control app
- Set up Smart Alerts in the Home + Control app on each smartphone that you want to use for the Eco-Assist feature
Becarefull, the notifications will only be received on the smartphone that has activated the Eco-Assist feature.
Please note that this feature will only work with smartphones that have activated the Eco-Assist feature.
The trigger range for Eco-Assist is fixed at 100 metres according to the recommendations of smartphone systems that implement geolocation.
Set up Smart Alerts
The Eco-Assist feature can be activated and deactivated in the "Smart Alert" section of the Home + Control app settings: Menu > Smart alert.
You can set up two types of notifications:
Turn off the air conditioning when I leave
This alert allows you to set up actions when you leave home. You will be notified when at least one AC has been left on after leaving the house.
You can also set your air conditioners to switch off automatically if they are left on while you are away.
To do so, activate the Automatic Control option > Turn off AC in your Smart Alert’s settings.
You will then be notified that all your air conditioners have been automatically switched off.
Turn on the air conditioning when I come home
This notification allows you to set up actions when you return home. You will be notified when we’ve detected that your ACs are still off as you approach your house.
You can also set your air conditioners to switch on automatically as you return home. The automatic action means activating the current schedule on all your ACs, if you have switched them off in your app.
To do so, activate the Automatic Control option > Turn on AC in the Smart Alert’s settings.
You will then be notified that all your ACs are back on their schedule.
