If one of your modules (outdoor, additional indoor, rain gauge, or wind gauge) no longer wakes up or reconnects to your Weather Station, follow the steps below to try to resolve the issue.
1. Check and prepare the module
- Remove the batteries from the affected module.
- Make sure there is no dirt, cobwebs, or moisture in the battery compartment.
- If you notice moisture, place the module (without batteries) in an airtight container with dry rice or another natural dehumidifier for 48 hours.
- Gently clean the battery compartment (without any liquid) and wipe the metallic part of the battery cover.
2. Reinsert the batteries and check the LED
A green LED should blink briefly when you insert the batteries or close the battery cover. The blinking is quick (about 15 times) and often faint — check in a dark room.
Follow the procedure for your module :
Outdoor module
- Insert new, non-rechargeable batteries.
- Replace the battery cover (without overtightening).
- Check if the LED blinks (see the video: Replace the batteries).
- If the LED does not light up, remove the cover, wait 40 seconds, then try again.
- Leave the module near the main unit until it reconnects, even if the LED remains dim.
Additional indoor module
- When you replace the cover, the LED should blink at the top of the module (see the video: Additional indoor module).
- If nothing lights up, try again with new batteries, checking the polarity.
Rain gauge
- When you replace the cover, a green LED should blink in the battery compartment (see the video: Rain gauge LED).
- Also check that there’s no moisture in the compartment.
Wind gauge
- The LED turns on when you insert the fourth battery (see the video: Wind gauge LED).
- If you notice moisture in the compartment, send photos of the battery compartment for analysis.
3. If the module still doesn’t wake up
Contact our support team and include:
- The module’s serial number (visible inside the battery compartment).
- A photo of the battery compartment.
- A photo of the module’s usual location.
- Confirmation of whether the LED lit up during the test with new batteries.
