How does the Netatmo Station measure acoustic comfort?
The Netatmo Station records the average sound level (in dB) over a 5-minute period and thus measures the acoustic comfort: quiet/55/lively/85/noisy.
Did you know?
- The human ear cannot generally distinguish sounds under 30 dB.
- Prolonged exposure to sounds above 65 dB reduces your concentration.
- In many countries, continuous exposure to a sound source during a day of work is limited to 85 dB.
- Above 95 dB, sounds can be dangerous for your hearing over prolonged periods of exposure.
