Having trouble installing your Weather Station? Discover below the possible causes and their solutions. A few simple adjustments are often enough to resolve these technical issues.
The Weather Station can be powered in two ways:
-With the provided power adapter
-With a smartphone USB charger and a micro-USB cable
Power supply specifications required: 5V and minimum 550mA output.
When connecting the Weather Station to its power supply, the LED should flash green 3 times to confirm proper startup.
If the LED doesn't flash:
-Try using another compatible cable and/or charger
-Check the power adapter connection (try another outlet)
Restart the station by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
Restart your router or smartphone.
Go to your smartphone's Bluetooth settings and remove any devices named "Netatmo".
Make sure your smartphone is connected to the same WiFi network used for the station installation.
The WiFi must be a 2.4GHz network for the Weather Station to connect.
Follow the installation instructions in this article: How to setup my Smart Home Weather Station?
If you're using an iOS device and the Station flashes white while in pairing mode (by pressing the touch area on the top of the Station for a few seconds), you can try resetting the Station using the following procedure: How do I reset the Station? (Apple HomeKit procedure).
Note that some WiFi networks are not compatible with the Netatmo Station:
Corporate and public networks.
Networks with captive portals.
Internet Service Provider networks using Carrier-grade NAT (NAT444).
WPA3 is not supported.
Networks using wireless repeaters.
If you're trying to install the Station on a WiFi repeater network, make sure it doesn't have the same name (SSID) as the main router.
If despite these precautions the situation persists, try connecting your Station directly to the router's 2.4GHz "guest" network.
