I cannot install my Weather Station

If the installation of your Weather Station cannot be completed, please follow this guide.

Power supply

The Weather Station can be powered in two ways:

  • With the provided power adapter
  • With a USB charger and a micro-USB cable (Power supply specifications required: 5V and minimum 550mA output).

When connecting the Weather Station to its power supply, the LED should flash 3 times to confirm proper startup.

⚠️If the LED doesn't flash:

  • Try using another compatible cable and/or charger,
  • Check the power adapter connection (try another outlet),
  • Make sure the micro-USB connector is fully inserted,
  • Restart the station by unplugging it and plugging it back in.

Mobile device

  • Restart your router or smartphone.
  • Go to your smartphone's Bluetooth settings and remove any device named "Netatmo".
  • Make sure your smartphone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network used for the station installation. The WiFi must be a 2.4GHz network for the Weather Station to connect.
  • Follow the installation instructions in this article: How to setup my Smart Home Weather Station?

💡If you're using an iOS device and the Station flashes white while in pairing mode (by pressing the touch area on the top of the Station for a few seconds), you can try resetting the Station using the following procedure: How do I reset the Station? (Apple HomeKit procedure).

Wizards for computer

If your smartphone is not compatible with the Netatmo Weather or Home + Control app, or does not detect the Weather Station, you can use your computer to link the Station to your Netatmo account.

  • To do this, connect the Weather Station to your computer using a micro-USB cable.
⚠️Be sure to use a cable that supports both power and data transfer!
  • Download and run the setup wizard according to your computer’s operating system and follow the on-screen instructions.

Notes

Some Wi-Fi networks are not compatible with the Netatmo Station:

  • Corporate and public networks.
  • Networks with captive portals.
  • Internet Service Provider networks using Carrier-grade NAT (NAT444).
  • WPA3 is not supported.

Networks using wireless repeaters can also create issues when the Station connects to the first access point detected instead of the one with the strongest signal.

If you're trying to install the Station on a network with Wi-Fi repeaters, make sure the access point you want the Station to connect to doesn't have the same name (SSID) as the main router.
If, despite these precautions, the situation persists, try connecting your Station directly to the router's 2.4GHz "guest" network.
