If you have just installed your devices, an automatic update will launch automatically, according to the radio signal quality it may take a few minutes to several hours.
Once the automatic update has finished, you will receive an alert through the Netatmo Energy app to tell you a new Valve mode is ready to use(only if the Valve is associated to a Thermostat).
This update will allow you to choose between 2 different modes.
- ECO priority (default) : In this mode, rooms equipped with Valves cannot be heated to a temperature higher than set by the Thermostat, even when required by the heating schedule (unless the Manual Boost is used from the Valve or from the Netatmo Energy app). The Valves are only used to limit the temperature, just like traditional thermostatic radiator valves.
- COMFORT priority : When required by the heating schedule, rooms equipped with Valves can be heated to a temperature higher than set by the Thermostat. This means they can tell the Thermostat to turn on the heating if needed.
The Valve mode can be changed in your Netatmo Energy app settings: Settings > Operating mode > Priority Settings.
