I've just installed my Radiator Valve ORIGINAL but the heating is not activating. What should I do?

After installation, the Radiator Valve ORIGINAL may not immediately open and heat the room. This is usually normal. There are a few things to check:

Calibration may not be complete yet

After installation, the valve runs a calibration sequence. This is the process where the motor learns the exact mechanical limits of your radiator valve. Calibration takes up to 90 seconds. During this time, the display shows a calibration animation, and you may hear motor noise.

If calibration fails, a red error banner will appear in the app. Tap the banner and follow the on-screen instructions to retry calibration.

Check that the setpoint is higher than the current room temperature

The radiator valve only opens if the setpoint temperature is higher than the measured temperature. Check in the app that the setpoint for the room is set correctly.

Check that the adapter is correctly fitted

If the wrong adapter was used, or the adapter is not correctly secured, the valve motor cannot reach the radiator valve pin and will fail to open or close the radiator. Verify the adapter identification card included in the box and check that the adapter is firmly in place.

Check the schedule

In the Home + Control app, check the heating schedule for the room where the valve is installed. If the scheduled temperature is lower than the current room temperature, the valve will stay closed. Adjust the schedule or temporarily increase the setpoint manually.

The Valve ORIGINAL controls heating at the radiator level per room. Boiler activation is managed by the Thermo Hub but requires a connected Thermostat or Thermo Link. Ensure those devices are correctly installed and connected too.
