A small temperature difference between your products and other thermometers in the same room is normal.
Why can the temperature differ?
For the Radiator Valve ORIGINAL
The valve measures temperature directly next to the radiator. Heat from the radiator can influence the measurement, which is a known limitation of valve-mounted sensors.
The surrounding environment can also affect the reading. For example, a nearby window, thick curtains, or limited airflow around the valve may impact the measured temperature. Make sure the valve is installed in a location that allows proper air circulation.
There may also be a short delay between the actual room temperature and the temperature measured by the product.
For the Thermostat ORIGINAL
Small differences compared to other thermometers are also normal. Temperature can vary depending on the height and position of each device within the room.
đź’ˇWhen a room equipped with Valve ORIGINAL also contains a Thermostat ORIGINAL, the temperature measurement of the Thermostat is used for heating regulation because it is generally more representative of the room temperature than the measurement taken by a valve installed on a radiator.
Adjusting the True Temperature
If you notice a consistent difference between the temperature displayed by your product and the temperature measured by a trusted thermometer, you can apply a temperature correction.
To do so:
Open the Home + Control app.
Go to Settings
Select Manage my home.
Choose the room where your Thermostat ORIGINAL or Valve ORIGINAL is installed.
Tap on the three-dot menu and select True temperature
You can then enter the temperature measured by your reference thermometer. The system will apply a correction to the sensor reading.
The maximum adjustment range is ±5°C.
âś…For the most accurate room temperature regulation, we recommend installing a Thermostat ORIGINAL in rooms where Valve ORIGINAL temperature measurements do not appear to be optimal.
